Grenn smiled when he first saw the blood. He didn't have much time to celebrate though as she tripped him. He fell down onto the dirt and rolled to the left and popped back up. "Nasty little trick you got there." he backed away from her though and began circling her looking for a weak spot.

*the ferret had been distratced by Kip's yell, and so the blade hit his own. He instinctively loosened his grip, allowing the sword to swing loosely from his side, but still maintaining a hold on it. He wasn't prepared for the kick though, which sent him stumbling back a few steps. He shook his head to clear away any doubts, then charged again at Myrvick, slashing diagonally downwards, from the rat's left shoulder to right hip*

Fearclaw smiled thinly but made no reply to the otter's comment. She turned to face him as he circled, never taking her eyes off him. Holding her sword in front of her, the point angled slightly upwards, she waited for his attack, her legs bending and tensing slightly. She realized that they were surrounded by armed warriors. She wondered if the other rat would actually carry out her threat and attack them.

"haha your surrounded now. but i think i'll kill you and save them some time." Grenn tried a slash at the back of her leg around the calf muscle.

Fearclaw did not mention that he was surrounded too, she was not one for trashtalking during a serious fight. Whipping her blade down she parried his blow, then brought her blade up and cut across his midsection.

The blade caught grenn a slightly seriosy wound. He fell backwards a little. He put a hand to his side. "aughhh.I'll do ya for that." Grenn drew his dagger and twirled his blade. He lunged at the left side of the fearclaw with his rapier and tried to stab at the unprotected nape of her neck with his dirk.

Her energy renewed at spilling blood, Fearclaw flipped her saber up quickly to knock the dagger heavily away from her neck. She jumped backwards to escape his other blade, but was grazed. Now bleeding in two places, her right arm and her left ribcage, but not badly, she stepped back and searched for an open spot in his defenses. Jumping forward at him again, she feinted towards his right leg, but at the last minute whipped up to stab at his throat.

Grenn was taking aback a little. He had never swordsmanship like this before. He went to the right and felt the searing pain of a blade sliding into his throat. He couldn't breathe. His eyes began to mist over with red. He fell over onto the ground and feebly tried to slash at his opponent.

((Are you really sure? My character isn't actually supposed to come across as an amazing swordsman, she actually is out of practice. But if you really want it...))
Fearclaw was quite surprised that she had gotten through so easily, and she didn't attempt to conceal it. Her eyes widened and her mouth opened a little. The first thing she suspected was that he was faking, so she jumped back, watching him wave his sword weakly back and forth. She had never defeated anyone that quickly before. He did look like he was actually dying. But, just to make sure he was really done for...

Grenn stood up feebly. He looked at the blade sticking out of his neck. he managed to croak out." Durriac, i'm sorr........." he toppled over, he gave his last breath and now died.

Fearclaw exhaled. Well, that was over. She drew her saber out of his neck, wiping the blood on his tunic. She looked around at the armed beasts surrounding her and wondered if she could slip off relatively quietly and have some fun in the town. Or maybe she should get back to the ship...her crewmates must be wondering where she was.

**Myrvick watched him charge, squinted his eye, and at the right exact moment, sidestepped(more like sidejumped) while attempted to knock away Durriac's blade with his(myrvick's) own swing. Jumping backwards while keeping Durriac in sight, Myrvick knew he was clear to do what he should have done before.**
** "Guards!" yelled Myrvick. "Guards, disarm him! Disarm that beast!" Some of the Tatterackian guards were still fighting but the majority were not. While some Hordebeasts had run away with what left they had of their water, many of them were slain. As were some of the Tatterackian force.**
**Watching close to ten beasts surround Durriac, he hoped the beast wouldn't resist too much, but knew he(Myrvick) was doing the right thing. Durriac would be used as prisoner exchange. Or bribery. Myrvick was now sure to get a promotion in the Tatterackian forces. His eye twitched as a drop of sweat met it.**

Though the majority of the small force had thrown themselves toward their ambushers, a scattered few had turned tail. A few buckets fell to the ground, draining the much needed water, but the soldiers who had kept their wits and their buckets were now now scrambling toward the fort. A leaderless rabble with one mindset, to get the hell away from the unseen foe. They carried what they had come for, their objective now was to return to the fort, with their cargo and their hides.
OOC: I haven't been able to find a good point for the entry of my character into the plot. I'm merely trying to play for the NPC's here and to keep the smaller part of this thread going. If all else fails and Kazzor isn't able to get in on this, I'll be role playing the lesser characters.
