Rue shoves Ranjit playfully. "I know you were, matey." OOC: Yep, and has been for the past 3 years or so. My very first character on the ROC...*sighs, lost in reminiscence* Besides, I couldn't very well insult Rova like that if she weren't my character, now, could I?

*Sha smiled back at Rue disarmingly as she sat, then picked up a book from Legolas' pile of stuff, and began to leaf through it.*

"Whatcha got there, mate?" Legolas's ears perk up and she whirls around to stare at Shalaia. "That- isn't that my book? How did you get it?"

Oh No! Ranjit quickly ran inbetween the two beasts before blows were exchanged. "Alright just calm down. Now Shalia probably didn't take your book Legolas, but if she did, then the appropriate punishment will be taken." He turned to Shalia. "Alright now where did you get your book from?" Ranjit didn't have a smile on his face. He knew that this was serious buisness. If there was an argument between troops that could upset the whole unity process.
OOC:Well, you know on Lancepaw's Fort when you adopted a son named Sting? well this is him just with a different character. That is so awesome

The door opened with a loud bang as a heavily muscled wildcat and a wolf who was lean enough for his hard muscles to show marched in. In his scarred paw, the cat carried a huge warhammer, big enough to be able to smash through a double brick wall. He also had two stilettos hanging from his belt, the two and a half foot long spikes easily long enough to pierce two beasts at once. The wolf had a two-handed sword hilt sticking up above his right shoulder and several long knives and daggers were at his belt. The took up an "At ease" stance on either side of the door, the wolf caressing his knives and as his eyes went over Rue, his right paw went up to touch the pommel of his sword. The wildcat merely rested the spike on the end of his two-handed warhammer on the ground and watched carefully.
When his friends insisted on acting as a bodyguard, Flame pointed out that he really didn’t need it and anyway, he could beat just about anyone in the fort. Then Khan said that as the legion commander, he had to have a guard of honour. All in all, between the two playing tag-team, Flame consented to have a guard of honour, but he hadn’t foreseen this. He had been made to practice the thing a few times, and so it wasn’t obvious how unrelaxed he was when acting like this.
In strode a powerfully built wildcat, not as muscular as the warhammer wielding Khan, but far from weak. When you saw him, it was clear that Flameclaw was fast and strong, but fortunately you couldn’t actually see that he didn’t have the ability to slog on that his friends did. A scarlet cape hung from his shoulders, twin sabre hilts sticking up through holes cut behind either shoulder. There were over thirty throwing knives on the cross belts that went tight, then loose with each breath, and several more on his hip-belt. He was taller than either the wolf or the other wildcat, but only by an ear.
Khan stood straight with his footpaws almost the exact distance that they had to be apart. The urge to urge to check that Kalem was doing the same briefly passed through his mind, but he quickly squashed that one. To glance over would betray the fact that they were just pretending the whole thing. As Flame stepped in through the door, Kalem took the cue perfectly, ordering,
“Stand and salute the Commander of the Second Legion, Commander Flameclaw.”

Ranjit quickly came to attention forgetting the dispute between the two low ranking horde beasts. He saluted proudly as he had known Flame before he was the troop commander and Ranjit had a huge amount of respect for this beast. He had a huge smile on his face.Good ole Flameclaw. But who are these two beasts? Could I take them. hmmmmmmm......... no I MIGHT be able to take the wildcat but not the strange creature on the other side of the door, I think it's called a wolf, of a walf. I'm not sure. Oh well.

The female badger rose slowly to her feet as the wolf walked in, completely unimpressed. When Rue stood, she was easily as tall as the wolf, if not taller, and a good deal heftier. She stared at Khan, her small, jet-black eyes eyeing him boldly, matching him stare for stare. Undaunted by the fearsome weaponry the wolf displayed, Rue felt her own blunt paws tighten on the massive oak cudgel she always carried with her. Unconsciously, she felt her hackles rise, and a growl started deep in her throat as she stared at Khan.
The moment was broken when Commander Flameclaw trooped in the open doorway. Rue's eyes shifted to the wildcat and she executed a salute exactly as she was expected to, but unconsciously, almost against her will, her thoughts drifted back to the wolf. She couldn't explain the hostility she felt rattling her bones, or the growl that had instinctively started when she saw the wolf, who she had never seen before. It didn't happen with Flameclaw- she felt a healthy respect for her Commander, if not any friendliness. It wasn't even the other wildcat.
Struggling with her instincts, Rue struggled to keep the growl down in her throat and her attention focused on her Commander.

Ranjit felt a wave of hostility coming from Rue as he stood and saluted. He glanced over and saw her hair rising. He leaned over and whispered."If you want to take out the wolf and I'll hold off the wildcat." He stood back at attention. He spoke to the wolf and wildcat. "Hey, you two your not with the horde so get out of here." He said sounding more confident than he felt. He tried very hard to repress the urge to gulp visibly as he waited for their reply. His hand slipped subconciously to his sword hilt. He didn't want to use it but he would.

*Shalaia sneered at Legolas.* Mayhaps you shouldn't put your stuff so out in the open for everybeast do snatch, eh? *She turned slowly to Rue.* Oh, it's called Obsessions of a Demented Mind. Pretty good, too. *As the wolf entered, the weasel stood up boldly next to Rue. She glared at the wolf, her lips curling back slightly to reveal a row of sharp and filed teeth. Sha stood, rooted, making it clear that she wouldn't back down because of some bodyguard. The weasel's claws rested on her scimitar as she attempted to stare him down.
She jerked her head away as Commander Flameclaw entered. Her eyes were as stony as when she had stared at the wolf; she never really trusted wolves, or other weasels besides herself, for she thought that they were far too clever. Shalaia slowly raised a paw to her forehead, which was creased in a slight frown.*

*Fishtail wanted to get into the new barracks so he could stash away some of his things. He found it quite irritating to carry around all his weapons and provisions from the journey. Unfortunately there was a big wildcat standing right in the doorway. The rat frowned that he should be thus delayed in his exploration of the rest of the fort* 'Scuse me. *He muttered as he shoved his way past the wildcat*

Ananka ran down the hall to the barracks, excited from her recent acceptance into the Horde. When she closed in on the barracks door it was to see a huge wolf and two wildcats in the doorway. She knew the wildcat with the red cape was the troop commander by the way he held himself, and the larger beasts were probably bodyguards.
She entered the room stealthily so as not to disturb the proceedings and sneaked over to the empty bunk in the right corner, the wolf's eyes watching her the entire time. After setting her belongings down on the floor in a neat pile, she turned around and saluted. She noticed that the wolf was still watching her, but she paid no attention to it and focused on the commander.

Mareth walked carefully up the hallway towards what a ferret had pointed out to be the barracks of his new legion. He walked with an air of confidence he didn't feel; he walked perfectly straight as a result of his military training, not his pride. Mareth neared the door, and he could hear voices inside. The end of a red cloak and a furry tail stuck out of the doorway. The silver-blond otter gripped his sword hilt with his left paw subconciously, his weird violet eyes narrowed. He'd only been here a few hours and he'd already heard things about the legion commander, one called Flameclaw.
The otter would rather not enter the room he now stood outside of. Interfering with a commander's affairs on his first day in camp seemed a poor choice of actions. He gripped the sword hilt with white knuckles, and walked through the barracks doorway.
Flameclaw was standing a little more two the left of the doorway than to the right, fortunately, and Mareth found he was able to walk right into the room. The wildcat was flanked by two formidable looking creatures, one of them a deadly looking wolf, with a stare that followed him all the way across the room. Mareth hurried across to a deserted bunk in a corner. He tossed his things on the cot, and stood to attention, his left paw resting on his sword hilt, his eyes forward, back straight, and stared back at the lethal looking wildcat, as he had done so many times before.
