Name: Finbar Bellamy
Gender: Male
Species: Weasel
Age: Late twenties to early thirties. Probably somewhere around thirty two.
Appearance: Finbar is handsome. No, wait, scratch that. He's a stereotype of handsome. To quote Catcher in the Rye, he's "yearbook kind of handsome". Whether his good looks are just superficial or really go deeper is up to the viewer to decide. Well-tended but somewhat mussed golden blond fur, with a creamy white throat and belly accent his bright blue eyes sort of nicely. His build is somewhat muscular - not really, as he has a way of making himself look taller and stronger than he actually is. He does stand fairly tall at about 6' 1" or so. No blemishes or scars where one can see them, and an easy smile that completes his somewhat bland but still kind of attractive visage. Fin usually wears a plain white tunic and trousers, or maybe, if he's feeling kind of pirateish, one of these getups, except much less ridiculous looking. It's hard to describe. Sometimes he'll wear turtleneckish type stuff....it all depends on his mood, really. Fin carries a cutlass all the time, on his belt, though he's really not much of a fighter.
Personality: Fin is conceited, sad to say. He knows that he's conceited, though, and he's quite proud of it. In addition to being vain, Finbar is a coward. A real, full-blown coward. He's afraid of many things, and doesn't even try to make up for it in bravado. He has attempted to cure his yellowness before, but it didn't work, and he doesn't much care for bravery anyway. Fin is a drunk of sorts, though his stomach is too weak for grog and other such liquor. He drinks a lot of ale, and some wine, though really beer is his preferred drink. Finbar is a sailor, a corsair, but he isn't on a ship anymore, having joined the Horde. Why he joined the Horde is hard to say, as he isn't a great fighter. He knows how to use a sword, but would sooner run away than stand and fight. Fin's scruples are restricted to looking out for himself and sometimes helping another if it will benefit him. In other words, he's amoral, the very definition of the word.
History: The short version? Fin's father was a drunk, and beat him often. Fin never had a mother. He's fairly sure that he was an illegitimate child, conceived by some unknown female his father never learned the name of. This doesn't bother him much, though. Fin developed a bit of an inferiority complex during his childhood. He would boss around the other kits he knew, and even had a little gang of sorts, that he led around to cause trouble in the neighborhood. He tormented everything from bugs to the homeless kids living on the street. At home, he had no power. His father wasn't home much, and when he was he was usually angry. Fin became so fearful of his father's beatings that by the time he was thirteen he couldn't take it anymore. He ran away, and did the natural thing for a child growing up in a seaside town - he signed on a massive galleon as ship's boy. From there his life took off, and he learned most of the skills that he uses today aboard that ship. Later, he left the galleon and worked aboard a smallish merchant ship, that was wrecked off the coast of the Horde's island. Finbar took refuge in the Horde's town, and eventually joined their ranks for money.
