Grenn was sitting at a table in the social court. He was new here and didn't know anybody. He was hoping to meet someone.

**Archy, not really having anything better to do, decided to wander over to the social court, to see what was going down. Once he got there, he saw an unfamiliar otter sitting at a table. Archy, feeling in a socially inclined mood, walks over and introduces himself**
G'day there, Young Otter! M'name's Archy, and you?
**Archy holds out his paw**

Grenn shook his paw feverently. "My name's Grenn."

*the ferret sat down with a crunch on a wicker chair, exhausted from helping the sea crew moving timbers around. He wipes his brow before picking up his tankard of October Ale and downing half of it. He wipes a paw slobbily accross his mouth before stiffling a burp. He waves at the other two* Nice to meet you. Real fine form for me to be in, I know. *he sighs before taking another huge swig*

"Aye, but don't worry I won't tell Dirk sir." Grenn winked at the newcomer.

*the ferret laughed* "Ah, I wouldn't worry about Dirk. Just wouldn't be a good example for my tro-" *he catches himself, realizing that Archerpaw is in his division* "...erm, right. Remember Archerpaw, this is how you shouldn't be." *he takes a large swig and belts out a rippling burp* "Haha! That was a good one."

"Me?" *he sets down his ale and thinks for a moment* "Well, it's a long tale. Maybe for another day." *he picks up his ale, winks at the otter, before taking another drink of his ale.* "But rest assured it was a long time ago. I served under Saxifrage Ontario himself, the founder of the Horde. Ah, good times, long past."

"Wow that was a long time ago. I read about him in the library in the town. He seemed like a good commander. Was he?"

"Aye, that he was. I don't think anyone else could've founded it and kept it together as long as he did. Well, maybe Dirk, but that's a different matter." *he remembered the harsh winter when he joined, and the warmth generated by the fellows there. Saxifrage, Sarevok, Dirk, Punkablood, Stryke, Typhoon, Meridian...the names come back to him in an avalanche*

"Ah, come on. It's only a spot of ale. Not even alcoholic, I might add." *he pours a mug and offers it to Grenn*

"Haha, there you go. Nothing like a little ale to keep a soldier going."
OOC: FYI, use * or something to set off your actions from your statements. Makes it easier for the rest of us.

**Archerpaw obtains himself a tankard of october Ale, then sits back down** Aye, I once heard that an army Marches on it's Kegs, and stops after the dregs.
**Archy takes A long pull at his drink then continues** And Mateys, I doubt there's been a truer word said!
OOC, hey Durriac, have you ever thought of asking Dirk to standardize the roleplaying etiquette? While it is interesting to see all the differnt methos people use, it's lots easier on new people if there's a structure.

"Hahaha! I've never that one before, but it's true enough."
OOC: I think it's pretty easy to tell. * ** and - aren't really too different, and it's usually obvious.
