OOC: You used a sabre, didn't you? BIC: Typhoon knew he could not sustain a fight with Flameclaw when the wildcat was really fighting and not giving any chances. This was proved true when both Flameclaw's footpaws smashed into his head. Such was the force of the blow that the badger's heavy steel helmet was knocked off. The badger was staggering, holding his muzzle, where Flameclaw's footclaw had left a cut to complement the one Durriac had given him. OOC: big strong ones, though not quite as sharp as his forepaws.. but his forepaw claws don't ever get the same power behid them. Flame let go of Typhoon's wrist just after he had kicked the badger and he threw his paws down to land on the ground and flip to his feet. He felt his head where a lump was starting and his chest which was starting to bleed. Flame saw Typhoon staggering and he immediately abandoned his own examinations to see to his friend. Flame pulled away Typhoon's paw to reveal a surprisingly shallow cut that had unfortunately punctured a vein. It was obvious that with a little treatment it would heal up quite nicely without any scar, but there would be a bruise there even after the wound had healed. Flame then felt around the wound for any broken bones. Fortunately, he found nothing except a tooth that had been knocked a little loose... but that wasn't serious because a few days would see the tendons tighten up again and it'd be as good as new. OOC: I know that is a bit of an auto, but Typhoon has enough scars on his face without the addition of another.

"How's it look, Flameclaw?" asked the badger as he touched the cut on his face, wincing slightly as he tried to stop the bleeding by applying direct pressure on it. He gave up and adopted a crouch, his fists ready. Typhoon would not give up that easily. Now was when he wished he had learned martial arts when he was at home. "After you then."

"It's fine, not to deep." said Flame as he stepped back and adopted a simmilar stance to Typhoon and then feinting with his left and coming up with a right hook towards the badger's chin.

The badger was faster this time. He caught the left paw as Flameclaw feinted, and did the same with the other. Seeing that the wildcat had, for the moment, no way to defend himself easily, the badger took a chance and threw a kick at Flameclaw's solar plexus.

When Flame felt Typhoon's steel hard grip on his wrists, he guessed that the badger would attack with his feet, so he was ready for Typhoon's footpaw to start moving. As soon as it started, Flame blocked the kick by jamming his footpaw down heavily on Typhoon's knee. With his other leg, he kicked (more like horizantally stamped) Typhoon's belt buckle, one of the few places that armourers never reinforced.
OOC: It does make you very hard to hurt, especially not hurting but making you let go, with plate mail on.

Flameclaw's footpaw hit Typhoon right between the cuirass and the codpiece, winding him and forcing him to release his hold on Flameclaw. It was fortunate for the badger that his opponent had not kicked a few inches lower. The badger backed off, choking and coughing as he tried to take in air. OOC; That's why I wear it.

As Typhoon released Flame's paws, he leant backwards and landed on his forepaws, his footpaws going over the top in a graceful handstand. What Typhoon didn't know is that Flame wouldn't have kicked a few inches lower even to save his life. Just before that thought had run it's course, Flame's footpaws landed on the ground and he stood up, shoving that thought aside.
There he saw his friend doubled over, winded and choking. He leaped foreward and grabbed Typhoon's foreleg and held it still so the badger would stop stumbling and could get his balance again. "You going to be ok?" Flame asked with a look of concern on his normally playful face.

The badger stopped coughing and started to hyperventilate for awhile before replying in a slightly hoarse voice,"I'll be fine, Flame. I've had enough for one day though. Why don't we continue tomorrow? I'm off to the tavern."

"Ok," said Flame, "I may be there later in the evening." He watched his friend leave the arena before heading off to check out his new room.
