Hurricane Rita hit the gulf coast instead of Houston as expected. I'm glad the people in the astrodome didn't get hit again but I feel sorry for the people in the gulf coast.

I'm glad it missed Houston, because a couple friends of mine live there Luckily Rita wasn't as bad as Katrina. Man, if it had hit land as a Category 5, or even a Category 4, so much more damage might have been caused. Although, Katrina did help prepare people for another disaster. 2005 has been a record setting season for hurricanes. And not in a good way...

I think so. It died down pretty quick though. Most of the oil refineries were missed, so at least we won't get a spike in gas prices again.
