I don't just want someone obsessed by LotR, I want sombody who knows HEAPS about it! I want someone who's read LotR, the hobbit, the Silmarillion, the index for LotR, Lost Tales and Unfinished tales... at least! I want somebody who can spell Beleriand off the top of their head and know what it is! Someone who knows exactly what a wizard is! Someone who knows what the Quenta Silmarillion is and what it's named for and who made them. Someone who knows how Arwen and Aragon are related, how much elf and how much everything else Arwen is and how and why!

Uh, read the books in fourth grade. Saw the movies after. Reread the books many times since. Hasn't read the Silmarillion yet, but will as soon as is finished with the trilogy again (required reading for my class, even though I've already read them a lot of times).
Oh, and I read the Hobbit before I even heard of LoTR.

I've read The Hobbit and LotR in that order. Had a lot of fun with the Appendices at the end of RotK. Unfortunately, my personal prize for "knowing useless, obscure details" would go to Redwall. There was a point where I could take a random name (obscure hordebeasts, even) and tell you what book they were in. Not as much now, but it was pretty crazy.
And I loved the movie trilogies, even with the glaring, annoying story errors. (and how 23746536 fangirls saw the movie for Orlando Bloom and don't know beans about Middle Earth. Legolas is cool because he's Legolas, NOT because he was played by Orlando Bloom. ) I love how they chose armor and architecture styles based on culture... the style of Rohan (and its theme) rock my socks.
And... the end. For now.

Errr... sorry Flameclaw, my mom won't let me give out my email online to people. The most I can do for you is for you to PM it to me.

Well, I haven't gotten to the Lost and Unfinished tales, so I miss the minimum requirements. On that note, there are probably a number of people here and elsewhere who would want to read it anyway, and the more proofreaders you have (even if they only know half of Middle-Earth) the more likely chance to find some distant relationship-mix-up, or typos, bad grammer, or mispelled names or improper Sindarin. So...pretty please? **pleading eyes**

I'm only offering the history (intro) just now..... and I want somebody who can say if the Tolkien side of the facts are correct. I'll email it to you anyway.... Can you answer the questions that I had there though?
I'll pm it then Legolas... I don't have it on this comp and I'm working tommorow (again) so I'll try to get online when I get home.

That question? Aragorn and Arwen aren't related, Aragorn was brought up in Rivendell once his mother died. Arwen is all elf. Elrond, her father, had a brother who chose to be human and he died when he was 500. Arwen's mother was captured by orcs at one point in her life, and when Eladin and Elrohir rescued her she decided not to stay in Middle Earth and went to the Grey Havens. (Eladin and Elrohir are Arwen's twin brothers)
Do you need more info?

Probably, if you want to find LOTR freaks, you would best look in a LOTR related site. A good one that I personally have found very helpful with lots of really cool people that have read way more than the required reading would be www.councilofelrond.com

(Eladin and Elrohir are Arwen's twin brothers) Thingol (one of the first elves) married a Melian (Maiar) and had Luthien. Luthien married Beren (man) and had Elwing. Tuor (man) married Idril (elf) and had Earendil. Earendel and Elwing married and had Elrond and Elros, Eros choosing to be a man and Elrond choosing to be an elf and live for ever. Elros went and from him are descended the Numenorians, the ancestors of the gondorians and Aragon is the direct descendent of the Numenorian kings. Arwen was the daughter of Elrond and so is 1/4 man, 11/16 elf and 1/16 maiar.

I don't think you really need a proofreader, man...

Luthien and Beren. I remember that now. Man, I love Council of Elrond. The polls are way cool. This week's is kinda pathetic though.
"Most Impressive Ainur"
What do they mean by most impressive? I always liked Manwe, Namo, and Orome as far as Valar, but none of them are really "impressive", except maybe Manwe. And Olorin (Gandalf) is cool and powerful but not necessarily "impressive". So I don't really know what they mean. Getting off topic. Sooooo yah, you seem to know your stuff, Flameclaw. But getting it proofread wouldn't hurt, I guess...

I'd say Orome or Tulkas... Tulkas is cool. Very cool. Please don't tell me that I made a mistake in the spelling. I'll try to email it soon.... I'm not getting online on my comp much just now.

Hiyo! that "friend" Flame was referring to was ME!!! muhahahahahhaahhahahahahhahaha!!!!!!! I know as much about LOTR as he does(maybe more) and YES I knew that Aragorn and Arwen were related!!! But did you know that "someone" in LOTR married their SISTER!!! think about that one for a second. Legolas, I think the name is OTT(over the top) but whatever works for you is cool for me. Does anyone here like Zelda? If they do I would TOTALLY PAY them to talk to me. Anyway I'm going to go eat some sugar.
