OOC; Okay, here is the deal, this will be pretty normal RPing, except that i hope to introduce a bit more structure than what is usually found in roleplays. This 'structure' will be me! ....... anyway, i will explain. How this will work is that I (and feel free to spread the idea, which is not original to me) will act as a Narrator/Questmaster, and not actually be roleplaying myself (Archerpaw). However i do get to roleplay what you see, what happens, the weather, and if you get attacked by giant zombie Apple pies, ect ect...... Starting to get the idea? So instead of various people just randomly adding bits of the story, you will get the narrator/questmaster leading you on with the riddle on the wall of the Pub, the weird smelling scroll, the old soothsayer and so on. On the next post i will start one of these new-to-here-but-an-old-idea-really Quest-roleplays! Enjoy! (beware the midget fox!)

OOC, Please no godmoding at All! remeber, I will be nice. but please remeber to keep your standard really high, and don't just decide that your character really is a better fighter that the midget fox.
Oh, and just so there's no pulling enchanted swords out of thin air, in your first post, include an inventory of everything your character has at that time that he or she is carrying, keep it down to eight or nine items, and don't forget food!
(Please give feedback and/or suggestions)
I'll start making your quest take out of the house when there are two PPL roleplaying.
BIC (As Narrator) You are in a small shanty near the docks, there is a lamp hanging from the ceiling, but since it is around noon, it isn't really needed. The shantys' doorway doesn't have a door in it, and through it, you can see the sea to the west. the docks are south of you, there is a pathway leading off to the east, and there is a track running along the coastline to the northern town of Highrock. in an ominous sort of way, there is a rather dead- looking otter skeleton sitting in the corner, above the corpse, there is a rusty belaying pin holding in place a tattered piece of canvas, inscribed with the words "Don't mess with us again! and stay away from Highrock! Regards, Jeff shimmerriple".

Grenn had come into the pub earlier that day. He had seen the message. He was going to mess with them again. He came back with his gear. He had his horde tunic on. A large haversack full of provisions and some other tunics for his disguises. He also had some rope. A bedroll, a canteen full of water, His shortsword, a small buckler,He had a little bit of loot that he could trade with people. He sat down and waited for someothers to come and help him.

Typhoon walked into the tavern and sat down at the bar. He was in chain mail and wearing an open-faced helmet. He held a long oblong shield and his longsword was sheathed at his side. In his hand, the badger held a long spear, and slung on his back there was a hemp sack containing provisions for five days, a canteen of water, a wood axe, a tinderbox, a bedroll, and a dagger. At least, it was a dagger to the badger. To anyone smaller, it would have sufficed as a short sword. Having seen the note in the shanty, Typhoon was not about to take such an insult to the Horde lying down. He nodded a silent greeting to Grenn, walked over to a bench and sat down.

"Hello Sir." *Grenn thought it appropriate to address him as sir because Typhoon could break him easily.*

Typhoon shook his head and smiled, pointing to the three stripes on Grenn's arm.
"Sir? Me? No one's ever called me that, even during my short spell as a officer. No, I'm just a lowly private, Sarge. You outrank me by a large margin."

**The Air was Dry and Still, and there was a large storm brewing up to the South-east, if Grenn and Typhoon wanted to make it to Highrock by nightfall, they had better start moving!**
OOC Like, not to be really pointed or anything, but you could talk about notes stuck on walls and stuff....

Kazzor had been away from all civilization for the previous few months. Not one for an overdose of socializing, he had been granted permission to leave with a promise of return to his duty at the Fort soon. Well, he was back, and the reformed Horde was once again thriving with newer faces.
The life of a wandering assassin is a difficult one. The need for work and accomodation was a must for this fox, though he had been brought up by his brood to live off the land as much as possible. One could not be totally reliant upon others to sustain the needs life demanded. Still, the extra pleasures given in payment for his work was a wonderful benefit.
Kazzor had been busy with first one horde and then a few others. All the while he had been trying to make his way back to this island. Kazzor had decided to take up a new occupation that he had moderate skill with, the swift and light infantry. Under the previous Horde, during the Truecreek era, Kazzor had served as Head of Espionage. A lofty term that simply meant he was in charge of all of the spy networks at the Horde. Now, upon his return, he was once again a simple soldier.
Kazzor had entered the shanty shortly after Typhoon and Grenn. He briefly glanced at the otter bones, but he was more intrigued by the writing on the canvas. Odd that a killing had taken place without his knowledge, but Kazz had to remind himself that he was no longer the honorable Head of Espionage, so he didn't have the resources to have known anything about this. Still....

*Grenn nodded at Kazzor. He had no idea that Kazzor had been the head of Espionage.* "If we're going to make it to the hillock by nightfall we should get going." *Grenn stood and shouldered his pack.*

Typhoon furrowed his brows. He had lived on the island for almost two years, but had never heard of this Highrock written about in the note. Then again, that was quite normal. The island was quite large and the badger had only explored the area around the Fort and the town. He wrote a note, informing the others that would probably come after them about where they had gone. He pinned the note under the bench, hoping that it would be seen there.

"So which way to go eh?" *Grenn hadn't explored this island yet but was willing to try anything. He was ready to go. This was his first quest*

Flame had been getting more than a little bored while he'd been confined to his bed for a few days with a nasty cough and headache, and to his horror, he couldn't do a full leap-vertex, an extremely hard move that was a 720 degree spin while striking all around himself. What ever training could do, nothing beat a private war. So Flame had set out from his room with his nessesary equipment, twin sabres crossbelted across his back, a set of throwing daggers down each side of his chest, a pair on the inside of his forearms, quite a few down his legs as well, his bow was over his shoulder with it's quiver on his back. He carried a meagre six days rations and over a dozen spare daggers... you can never have too many. He also carried flint, steel & tinder, torches and a rope and grappling hook and rope.
The abandoned part of the town was as good a place as any to start looking for trouble and it wasn't long before Flame looked in the door, but the sight of a friendly face sent his claws back in and the otter skeleton brought out his claws again. Flame noticed the belaying pin (aren't they often wood?) and the canvas. "Anyone know what's happened and what's happening here?" he asked, looking from face to face.

Typhoon sighed. He didn't know either, but he'd hazard a guess.
"I don't know, but this otter here messed with somebeast named Jeff Shimmer-something or other. NO ONE kills beasts under our protection on our own island. Except us, that is. This Jeff, whoever he is, seems to be too big for his boots. We don't know who he is either, but he seems like an invader sort of chap, so to be safe, we're planning to take him down. Except we don't know where this Highrock is. It seems that that could be his hideout. Rather stupid fellow actually, betraying his position in his first move. Anyway, are you with us?"

Flame smiled at the thought that he might not join in, "I'm in, it sounds like what I'm looking for right now." Flame moved over to get a look at the note and said over his shoulder with a grin, "Trouble."

OOC: I'm starting to sound like Mr. Burns.
