"I guess we're waiting on Archerpaw to give us something more to work with." Flame blinked a few times and his grin dissappeared and he looked amazedly at Typhoon, asking in a dazed voice, "What did I just say?"

"I have no idea," Flame frowned and then asked, "where did you get that name?"
OOC: basicly, we're waiting for Archerpaw and so I made Flame say something out of character and then he forgot what he said.... maybe we should PM Archerpaw?

Just then, An old wixend Vixen was hobbling along just past the hut, she was on her way to collect some mushrooms (preferably deathcaps). She looked as if she might know an awful lot about the Older lore of the Island.....(Hint, Hint....)
OOC sorry, guys, this thing called "Business" caught up with me.

OOC: that's fine..... 'Business Studies" catches up with one of my friends all the time
As the older vixen made her way past the shack, Flame stepped out behind her and gently rested a paw on her shoulder, hoping he didn't frighten her, "Excuse me ma'am, I was wondering if you knew where a place called Highrock is?" His paw completely covered her frail shoulder and at a glance it was obvious that it was a cat's paw and that before anyone could blink, his claws could be out and tearing through her flesh.... Flame hoped that this old hag didn't think that as soon as she saw it.

Typhoon respected the elderly, the main reason being that he himself was elderly, but for some reason he distrusted the vixen. It wasn't prejudice; he had had many fox friends in the past, but something just told him not to trust this particular fox. She (or he) might have disguised as an old fox to fool them. Typhoon hefted his spear and slowly sidled behind the vixen.

**The Vixen turned around slowly, so that flameclaw's paw would fall off her shoulder, she began to say something, but saw typhoon's spear and said in a smokey, cracked voice** "Hello there, young Badger and freind wildcat........... what might it be that you would want with Highrock?"
**A light rain began to fall....**

*Grenn looked up as the rain began to fall. He then walked over to the vixen.*"Hi there ma'm. We're looking for a person who people say lives at the highrock. We were just wondering where that might be."

Typhoon muttered to himself. "Me? Young? She must be either senile or blind..." As the raindrops fell down Typhoon covered himself with his shield. He did not want his best chain mail to get rusty. He also lowered his spear, fearing that the vixen would refuse to talk if she felt threatened. He kept the spear ready though, in case she made any sudden moves.

"Yes, a Jeff Shimmer-something, and Typhoon," Flame turned toward the badger, "You look relatively young compared to some beasts present." The rain didn't really bother him, but Flame knew how some otherbeasts didn't really enjoy getting wet. "You look like you've had your share of adventures and so a skeleton would hardly make you blink, so if you'd like to see the reason for the qestion, then step this way." He motioned towards the hut and watched the vixen carefully, though rather descreetly.

Typhoon realised that it was true and muttered an apology. It seemed that his age was making him paranoid. As to the rain, he was covering himself due to a bad cold he had only just recovered from, and also because rust was extremely hard to get out of chain mail, and he wanted to delay the rusting process as long as he could.

**The vixen smiled a slow smile, and started talking softly as she walked slowly towards the hut** "Well, Highrock, yes....... a nasty place it used to be... of course, you'd be hard pressed to find one brick still atop another nowadays.."
**As she reached the doorway, she squinted at the skeleton and the note muttering a curse as she did so.**

Old hags tended to know stuff and Flame thought that this vixen would come under that category. The comment about Highrock and her curse at seeing the skeleton just served to confirm that view. "What is it ma'am?" he asked, looking at her old and wrinkled face from above as she gazed at the note and corpse.

Typhoon went into the hut, his curiosity overcoming his paranoia. He convinced himself that the vixen could not possibly mean them any harm and drew nearer.

*grenn followed them into the hut and felt the warmth of the fire. It was much better than being under all that rain. He looked at the sketelton and the note again. It seemed to be the hundreth time he had done so. He closed his eyes and rubbed his temples to clear his head.He was getting agravated with the vixen not giving them a straight awnser.*"Could you PLEASE give us the way to Highrock?"

Typhoon was getting slightly irritated as well, but he did not show it, as he knew how it felt like to be insulted by the younger generation. After all, that had happened to him as well before. "Grenn, will you be patient? She's old enough to be your grandmother."
