*The brown ferret looks slightly bored, her back against a boulder and her sword out in her lap. She runs a claw along the curve of the blade and sighs. All around her the burning leaves are falling to the ground, crackling as they land among their brothers and sisters. A few flowers try to poke their way to the surface, but as the wind blows and Vinxliyar shivers, more leaves come down to cover them up again. The ferret pulls her cloak closer around her, her fur not sufficient against the bitter wind and the promise of a cold winter. Vinxliyar sheathes her blade and sighs again. Winter isn't her favorite season and considering how fast Autumn was becoming colder, made her dislike her usually favorite season of death and celebration of the harvest.
She brings her knees up to her chest and tries to make a make-shift cocoon of warmth with her cloak and body heat. She wasn't really ready to go inside and unpack and was quite content with the company of the dead leaves and the suffering flowers.*

Desko had been walking around aimlessly, not really thinking, or knowing where he wanted to go. He was just going where his body took him. Speaking of his body, his fur was now a darker, dull gold from lack of good sunlight.
As the loner trudged through the snow, not really feeling effected by the weather, he spotted Vinxliyar.
Desko slipped a toothpick onto the edge of his mouth, and approached her. She looked dreadfully bored and cold. He had never seen her before, but he was kind of new, so seeing a familiar face wasn't an everyday thing.
He stood in front of her, wondering why she was sitting like this alone in the cold. " 'ey, yew new 'ere?" He asked curiously, as he caught a falling leaf.

*The ferret looks up, a smile on her face, hiding the surprise that some other beast would be out, considering the changing weather. She brushes a leaf off of her head, while at the same time trying to keep her cloak wrapped around her. She shrugs.*
I wudden't say new n' I wudden't say old.

Desko didn't smile back considering, he never does. He simply nodded. " Interesting...." He replied, his toothpick shifting around in his mouth boredly. He then dropped the leaf he had caught and thought for a moment.
" Well, talkin' isn't one o' my things, but 'ow long 'ave yew been 'ere 'n why are you sittin' in the cold like this? Yew could freeze tah death in weather like this."

*Vinxliyar's smile fades, considering she didn't get one in return. She looks past Desko, a thoughtful expression on her face.* Well... I wuz here fer a coupple o' months... then I lef' fer a coupple more... *She stares a bit more past him.* I dunno why I'm sittin' out in th' cold... I like Aut'm though, so I s'pose tha'd be why, eh? *She blinks for a few moments and then meets his face again.* Why're you out 'ere?

Desko once again gave her a nod. " Ah, okay, that's interesting........wha? Me? Oh, I dunno, tis what a loner does right? Walk around aimlessly?" He said, not really sure if what he was saying made any sense what so ever. He then sighed and sat next to her. He touched her paw softly.
" Yer freezin' yew should get inside."

*The ferret gives a half-smile to Desko and then lets it turn into a grin at his statement.*
I prob'ly shou'd get ins'de, tis 'ard ta get us'd ta th' colder weather when ye come from th' desert... *She half-mused to herself.* Ye don't seem ta be shiverin' much, where're ya from?

Desko shrugged. He was never really sure where he came from, but he had been up north before near glaciers on a naval mission. He the gave a slight smile, something rare from him.
" I'm not really sure, but I've been in colder weather than this...anyway, yew really should get inside afore yew get frostbite. I've seen it, it is terrible."

*Vinxliyar grins.* Yore just scarin' me now. Tis only Aut'mn, it don't get cold 'nuff this time o' year.... but I prob'ly shou'd be gettin' inside... *The ferret brings her paws up to her mouth and breathes heavily on them to warm them up.* O' course then I'll 'ave to unpack, I 'ate doin' that. Makes a beast get attach'd ta a place.

Desko rolled his eyes. " I 'ate when beasts think blowing on your paws 'elps so much, 'ere." He ripped off part of his tattered long sleeves and wraped them around her paws. " Now, that's 'ow ya stay warm if yer gonna be sittin' out 'ere, you cover up." He replied, with another slight smile. He then stood up and leaned against the boulder while standing.

*Vinxliyar grins again.* I know it's jus' tempor'ry warmth. *She puts the wraps more snug around her paws. She stands up also, her cloak now billowing around her and shivers slightly.* We've jus' 'ad a whole conv'rsation an' we 'aven't even intr'duced oursel'es. *She holds out a wrapped up paw, her other one holdiner her cloak around herself.* M'name's Vinxliyar Esyrlden, you are?

*Vinxliyar shakes Desko's paw heartily.* I dunno what I'll call ya, but 'm not callin' ye after a piece o' furn'ture. *She grins, removing her paw from his and using it to hold her cloak around her as the wind slightly dies down.* Okay... well... *She looks towards the path that heads back to the fortress.* Ma'be tis time fer me ta head back... wudden't it be a great thing ta come to trainin' wit' a cold? *She grins, now huggling the cloack to herself.* Cou'd a loner spare a few min'tes time ta escort me back? *She smiles at Desko.*

Desko returned a grin trying not to be rude. He grinned anyway, Vinx wasn't bad at all. He then nodded.
" Yeah, Desk is an odd un, but I deal wit' it....anyway, aye, yeah, I kin do that. I'll escort ya miz Esyrlden. " He said playfully saying Miz.
He then began to walk in the direction of the dormitories. As they walked he spectated the landscape.
In a nice way he said, " Tis' a nice season, don't see 'ow you kin't like it, " but he kept a smile off.

Desko actually grinned back. " Well, yew jus' get used to it I suppose, but I dunno. I tain't no genius." He replied.
He then looked back at her, and he smiled. " You sure yer alright? Yew look even colder than afore." He asked her a bit worried for once in his life.

Desko tried to hold back a grin, but couldn't. He nodded to her. " The Oct........I dunno wot its called.....the basic infantry 'un. 'n you?" He asked, after trying to recall the name of his regiment. He had never even started training, so recalling it would be tricky.

Desko nodded and smiled. " Yes it tis.....Take it yer goin' fer that position....you'd prob' do good. As long as yer not fightin' in this weather, that tis." He explained, criticizing how she deals with the cold in a joking manner.
