Name: Dirk Thornclaw
Gender: Male
Species: Mouse
Appearance: Although a little on the short side, even for a mouse, Dirk is stocky and well-muscled (although it doesn't always show). His fur is brown, the shades varying in different parts of his body, but for the most part it's a light chestnut. His eyes are a medium green, devoid of any twinkling or glimmering, and appear half closed at times.
Equipment: For clothing, anything comfortable, preferably in green and brown shades to compliment his appearance (who says warriors can't have a fashion sense?). He has experience in most weapons, although he is more proficient with the quarterstaff, and, to a lesser degree, the sabre and the scimitar. He doesn't carry weapons with him, however, unless the setting calls for it.
Temperment: Dirk has grown in his time here. He came in as a young rascal, suspicious of all, happy in his brooding solitude, and finding consolation in weapons and battle. Since then, he has learned to be a leader, to make friends and trust them, to give up the adventurous attitude of a young warrior for one of a leader striving to see his army fed well and kept happy (and, oh, how that has been a challenge!). To shorten it: Dirk has matured into a leader he hopes everyone can count on and trust, whether in battle or mundane matters.
Age: Dirk's age remains unknown. He never has known it, and probably never will. Nor does he care. He looks middle-aged.
Family: Unknown. Dirk's earliest memories are of being raised different families in different places, and none include a mother or father or siblings.
History: As said above in "Family", Dirk does not know his parents. He was raised on his own, sometimes with small families or hermits living in huts, but other times scrounging for food on his own.
When he was finally old enough to understand that he had to stop living this way, he began to travel, hoping to find a home. He soon learned that not everyone was as friendly and helpful as those few families or nutured him when he was young, so he took up the sword and became a mercenary. He lived where he could, but never stayed with one group of warriors for long. Until he came to The Horde.
Newly built, The Horde provided an excellent home for Dirk, as well as other warriors he could duel with in practice. By the time he was made leader, he had already decided this would be his home for as long as possible. He led the Horde through a rennaissance and helped it grow vastly.
After awhile he no longer could take the pressures of commanding the growing army, and left. Now, he has returned, hoping to save the Horde once more, and maybe live here a little longer.
