*A group of shadows slid effortlessly and unnoticed through the majority of the Horde's settlement. Upon reaching the town, they stopped in the marketplace. It was a good strategic place to stop; access points to the surrounding areas, a decent lookout point, and a fair view of the palace up the hills. Mattak stopped the group to let the others catch up. Once they were there, the fun would begin. The wolverine stood behind the wall of a small building, concealed by the shadows... waiting. He stayed there for a few hours, waiting patiently and checking on the group from time to time. The wolverine drew a long, sharpened knife from a sheath on the side of his belt, hidden with his long cloak. He twirled it playfully and stopped as a figure approached. The great wolverine pressed his back against the wall and listened. The footsteps of the one he was waiting for...Kazzor, grew louder as he drew nearer. He turned and nodded to two beasts on the other side of the pathway, carrying strong ropes. The wolverine peeked over the side of the wall, pulled his knife up, waited, and lunged towards the unsuspecting creature, hoping to submit him long enough for his two beasts to secure him.*

OOC; So, you guys finally showed up... I really hope Kazz is still around... I'm assuming this is a night raid? If not, I'll edit. IC: Dirk was restless. Despite the night being cool, the mouse was near-sweating. He had let the fire in his room burn too long, and the heat still eminated from the coals and ashes settled in the fireplace. He had his window swung open, but the air was still, with no breeze to wash in and swirl the stuffy air of his room. Sighing, the old warrior wondered if he would get any small amount of sleep this night at all. Pacing quietly across the room, Dirk paused to glance out the open window. The quarter moon provided little light to illuminate the countryside below, but the water sparkled clear, a mirror to the sky. Dirk closed his eyes, trying to will the cold air hanging outside the shutters to seep in and settle over his body. The back fur on his neck tingled. He frowned, eyes still closed. His sixth sense had never been that sharp; and he didn't sense anybeast standing behind or below him. He opened his eyes and glanced around his room, then over the terrain below. He waited. Nothing. Sighing, the Horde Master shook his head to himself. He was growing old, sensing this and jumping at that. Why, earlier, when he was down in the kitchens getting a snack, he had thought he heard the soft padding of paws walking in the halls, as if a fox or weasel was slinking by outside the kitchen. He had looked, but could find no one. Turning back into his room, Dirk lay down on his bed, trying to catch his elusive friend-turned-foe sleep once again.

OOC: yeah, its night. sorry bout the delay.
IC: Sabac looked at the two others in the boat as they reached the shore. the distance they had to travel was pretty short, and the limited amount of light from the moon. he looked at the two and made sure that they were ready. he looked up to their destination, the land between here and there wouldnt seem long as soon as they got moving. from what he had been told, there wouldnt be anyone in that space. once they get there, the number of guards would be little to none. he looked to Jadak and Adrean, speaking in a hushed tone. "we need to hurry. the others should be getting their fun about now. we need to hurry to our position."

OOC: May I join? If not...well...delete my post ^^
IC: *Ffasma tosses on her cloak, pulling the hood up all the way, and stepping out into the cool air. Ffasma was not one for sleep, as odd as that sounded, and had decided on going outside to do...well...anything! The quarter moon peeped in and out of clouds, casting watery light on its surroundings. Aimlessly, Ffasma let her feet carry her to the town, but her mind was drifting in another direction. This place...the Horde, was a nice place, she decided. Better than camping in the woods, she thought, a smirk snaking onto her features.
As she came closer and closer to the town, an uneasiness came upon her. Ffasma shook herself to rid herself of the feeling, as though it was clinging to the back of her cloak. Paranoia, she thought. I always was a paranoid ferret. Casting a glance around the deserted town, Ffasma boldly stepped into the dark and began ambling through the streets. She had finally forgotten about the forboding feeling, and was now perfectly content to wander about.*

*The night was to beautiful to miss out on. Legolas snuck out of her room in the inn, almost waking the other custumers. Once outside she stood out in the middle of the road, taking in the moon and the stars. She breathed deeply, savoring the cool night air.
Still not ready to go back to bed, she decided to go for a walk. Padding silently along the dark roads and allyways, she was dreamy, but alert too. The moonlight bathed the town in a creamy light, making it look almost unearthly. Beyond the town's borders she could see the ocean, also glinting in the soft moonlight.
As she wandered she realized she was getting close to the marketplace, busy during the day but utterly deserted at night. She stopped just outside of it smiled. What a contrast days and nights made. Twelve hours ago this place had been humming with activity and life. And now, just another silent space in the moonlight.*

((Sorry to interrupt with this, I should have asked it a long time ago, but I was looking over at our posts on the other forum and it was unclear whether Fearclaw was to stay with the ship or go with the others. Just wondering if I should post here for her part or somewhere else.))

OOC: (Hmm... yeah, If Kazz doesn't show up... we're just tying up air! Bwah! Anyways... has anyone talked to him? Oh... Fearclaw, I think you were to assist in guarding the ship... so... I don't know if you should make a post here, or in the harbour, or what. Probably in the harbour. I don't know though, what would be best. Sabac would know.)
(I'll just continue as if I left Kazz to my two guards, and hope that they can subdue him and eventually tie him up. Idk... we need to keep going or everyone will lose momentum.)
BIC: *Mattak got up and dusted off his dark red and black cloak. He sheathed his long knife and revealed his true weapon, the great double sided battle axe. He walked away, eyeing Kazzor and his two guards. He hoped that they would be able to take care of him. If they failed, Kazzor would be rounded up eventually by the other group coming in to the market to help. "Everyone! Listen up!" The wolverine called out in a deep, aggressive voice. "Do whatever you want! Have some fun, but just be ready when we need to leave!" With that, Mattak waved his claw and his group dispersed throughout the area, wrecking and destroying random things at random times. Mattak stood in the middle of the pathway, smiling a dark and evil smile, one that rarely crossed his face. He cackled as he smashed his axe through a large boulder next to him. His face was the perfect picture of distorted and evil joy as he pulled his axe free from the half-cut rock. The other group members would be arriving soon... Luna, Rane, and some others. Mattak pulled out one of his torches from his cloak and lit it. It puffed smoke for a second, and then grew into a bright, lively flame. "Let the fun begin."*

OOC: If I happen to kill or control an NPC(enemy) know that you(The Horde) can do the same. Now, of course you can't autoplay a char without their consent, but if no NPC's were in the picture it would be an army of 10 vs. 10 and that wouldn't be all that exciting --- would it. Just remember that if you don't want an important soldier to be killed --- such as a guard at an outpost --- you better be that guard at that outpost or we'll make him an NPC and probably not treat him too nicely! Well... that's all I gotta say, PM me if you wanna discuss somethin. Have fun. **As soon as the nose of the boat hit the shore Jadak slipped out of the boat firmly planting his feet in the sand.**
"We need to hurry. The others should be getting their fun about now. We need to hurry to our position."
**Jadak nodded and with the others quickly carried the light boat so it was out of sight from any outposts near by. Donned in clothing of purest black that did not glitter or shine or rustle he looked the perfect assassin. Though he had never taken on the job of assassin he was certainly skilled enough to be one. With jet-black fur and a quick nerve a moment never passed where Jadak was not alert.**
**Falling in behind Adrean, who fell behind Sabac, they traced their way up the cliffside that jutted out into the sea. With quick steps and soft feet, they made efficient progress toward meeting the main path. The palace was said to be south of here, though one is always wise to be cautious in unknown territory. No matter, Jadak smiled in the dim moonlight, they would find it.**
**Jadak, jade eyes flicking back and forth, could not help but notice the thick brush they'd have to go through to reach the main path. Keeping a paw close to one of his throwing knives he ached to use his two, sleek and beautifully-crafted scimitars(picture Legolas's from LOTR).**

OOC: May I join? I'll just delete my post if I can't.
IC: Typhoon made his way through the narrow streets of the town, staggering slightly now and then and swigging at a bottle of ale. He had wandered from the tavern, into what he knew was the marketplace, but it did not matter. He wasn't in a hurry. The old badger finished the ale and threw the bottle into the gutter. The glass bottle smashed, and the sound attracted the attention of a ferret sentry, who was on patrol around the corner.
Before the sentry could issue a challenge, he recognised the badger, and snapped a quick salute with his spear. Typhoon, being a junior officer, returned the salute, but before he could say anything, the sentry spoke.
"Sir, I've had this feeling of foreboding for a few hours now. I...I can't describe it, but I know something's going to happen. Something bad, Sir!"
Typhoon did not ignore the sentry's words. He himself had had such a feeling in the tavern not two hours ago, before he had become too drunk to think about that. Now, h had sobered up somewhat, and, knowing how accurate these feelings could be, Typhoon decided to take a look around the town before he went back to the fortress. Taking the sentry's torch, and indicating for the sentry to follow him, the badger turned onto the main path along the beach, which was separated from the beach only by some thick brush.

*Legolas had been standing outside the marketplace cloaked in shadow, almost asleep but still awake. Suddenly a group of dark figures swarmed into the marketplace, and started smashing things. Startled she slunk back deeper into the shadows, and watched as they proceeded to destroy the marketplace.
Shaken out of her dreamy state, she watched as the creatures smashed and destroyed. Her eyes brightened and she gripped the hilt of her dagger in anger. Who where these, these, creatures, who were destroying for no reason a beautiful marketplace? As one of them neared her hiding place she had to restrain herself not to leap out and confront him.
As she looked on, she noticed a figure even larger than the others, standing on the other side of the marketplace. He carried a wicked looking doublebladed axe that glinted in the moonlight. As she watched, he pulled a torch from his cloak and lit it. She gasped silently as he smiled, a dark and evil smile. Then he spoke.*
"Let the fun begin."
*Not waiting to hear anymore, Legolas spun around and dashed away from the marketplace as fast as she could. Knowing that it was not long before the town was in flames, she threw caution to the winds and started spreading the alarm*
FIRE! FIRE! EVERYBODY UP! EVERYBODY UP! FIRE!

Dagglur was sleeping very soundly in his dormitory, folded up into a little ball on his chair. He had his head rested against his bushy tail; he had gotten tired of trying to think of the next best thing to write, and had decided to take a bit of a nap. The brown squirrel awoke slowly, his eyes coming open somewhat out-of-sync. Dagg had thought he had heard something, but wasn't certain...
He took his time standing up, giving a yawn and stretching for several seconds before he heard it again. His room was on the farthest end of the dormitory building, and he couldn't quite make it out. It got a little louder, and he made out the word "Fire"; he still wasn't entirely awake but he tried to push himself to some action, figuring he should probably get himself together to go see what's the matter. He pulled a shirt on and reached for his belt of daggers when he heard it yet again, loud and close enough now to evoke a bit more urgency on his part. "Gah.. What in the blazes..." Dagglur threw the belt on and wiped his ink-covered paws on his shirt before pushing his door open, making his way to the other end of the dorms where there was a window where he might be able to get a good view of town.

Shadow had been in his dorm just staring out at the sea when a fire started in town. Shadow grasped his cloak; he was already wearing his weapons seeing as how he never takes them off. "I must tell Dirk" he thought to himself. With that he left his room and sprinted to Dirks dorm. When he reached Dirks dorm He pounded on the door and yelled "Dirk get up!! Get up!! The town is ablaze!!"

Dirk was still lying on his bed awake, eyes now open, staring at the ceiling. At first he didn't notice the heavy knocking on his door. When he did, he thought the thumping was just in his imagination, like earlier. But the sound of Shadow's voice cut through his thoughts, and he turned his head to stare at the wooden door.
He made out the words "town" and "ablaze", and was up from his bed in a flash, darting to the door and pulling it open. He peered up at Shadow intently. "What are you yammering about? What town is ablaze? Ours?"
OOC: I don't know about Kazz. His last log in was Dec 28th, which is now over a week ago, and he didn't post then as far as I can tell. I PMed him, but if he doesn't reply in a couple days we can come up with a new scheme.

"Let the fun begin."[/b]
The golden-furred she-wolf was coming up behind the wolverine as he spoke his last words, and a grin spread upon her face. She took out the four torches that Mattak had given her earlier, and darted up beside the giant creature, lighting her own with his. The corsair's fur glowed and shimmered in the bright torchlight, whilst her icy eyes took on an eerie, almost demented look.
"Enjoy yerself, me friend," she said to Mattak. "Tonight, we pilage. If ye need help, well, ye know where I'll be. Give Adrean my love, if ye see him." The last comment broadened her grin, and the she-wolf slunk off, pulling her black cloak over her head and around her sheathed scimitars. She was looking for fuel for her fire.
[So, um, where are those gardens? Will I need to post in a different thread?
EDIT: So, yeah, I found them. I'll be posting there for now, so ye know where to find me.]

OOC: Yeah, another scheme would be fine... it'd just be fun to mess with Kazzor cuz we know him. Anyways!...
BIC: *Mattak smiled darkly under the black hood of his cloak. It concealed the entire back of his body as if he was invisible. The moon light was weak, but the building he had just lit on fire illuminated the surrounding area. After enjoying the sight of the market building submitting to the intensity of the fire, Mattak realized there was a young she-wolf standing next to him, looking quite eager and, just as Mattak did, evil. "Want a light, Rane? Haha." The wolverine turned his torch to her as she lit the ones he had given to her on the ship.
"Enjoy yerself, me friend... Tonight, we pilage. If ye need help, well, ye know where I'll be. Give Adrean my love, if ye see him."
Mattak's face turned grim again, but he couldn't help smiling at his good friend. "I'm out for blood tonight Rane. None shall live!" Mattak then wondered how Sabac, Jadak, and Adrean were doing. "If I see them, I'll tell 'im. Now go and burn some pritty flowers ya lil' rascal!" With that, Mattak patted Rane of the back as she went off towards the gardens. He'd check on her later... but first, he'd have to have his share of fun. The wolverine brandished his axe in the dim moon light as he strode confidently along the path, burning tents and stands as he went along. It was pure chaos and mayhem... but then he caught wind of the one scent that set him off..... He listened close, but the sounds of laughing vermin and crackling fires clogged his accute hearing... but he was sure of what he smelled. It was a badger. Mattak's claw drifted closer to his badger claw necklace until he found himself stroking the largest badger finger claw on his necklace. Surrounded by smaller finger claws was one that once belonged to a badger lord. Mattak began to sweat, his body flooding with excitement and rage. No badger could survive a wolverine in this state of such intense and concentrated rage. It gave him energy and strength. Mattak swung his axe around as if it was weightless. He continued his path of destruction and decided to wait until the badger came to him... to his end. "Hear me, badger!" Mattak roared. "Today, your fate has been sealed! This night, a curse has been placed upon your head! You are a marked beast! Ready yourself, and perish!" Mattak let out an earsplitting roar that ended in an deep, ominous cackle............................. and then he smashed the door of a wine shop... all the fun was makin' him a bit thirsty. Plus, a wolverine can't roar with a dry throat!*

Kip had visited the island several seasons back, scouting the area for an invasion. The invasion that they were currently in the middle of, actualy. It seemed that her efforts in spying and such had paied off. She gave a slight smile as she watched the antics of her friends. The raid in general seemed to be going fairly well, and if Kip had her way, it'd be going much better in a few moments. She jumped off the boat and into the sandy beach as she shoved a black hat on her head. Black tunic, black hat, black pantaloons, and ash smeared over her normaly pure white fur. "C'mon boys, le'show these lily livered scum what a real hoard can do!" She made sure to say it loud enough to inspire the twenty four troops under her lead, but not loud enough for her voice to carry across the beach and warn anybeast of where they were or what they were about to do.
It took a moment, but they assembled into shield wall formation, and then started to slowly and silently marched down the beach towards the docks. The Tatterack leaders had initialy been against Kip's plan of knocking the docks out of service as a preliminary step, but were slowly won over when she pointed out that cutting off their ships left them no way to give chase if Tatterack needed to fall back at some point in the fight. And that's what she was going to do right then. As the town was burning now, so would the docks. Hope you brought your marshmellow roasting sticks, boys. She said with a sickly smile, "we're havin' ourselves a bit of a bonfire.

Typhoon had not taken more than half a dozen steps, when he heard two voices, one before the other, from the direction of the marketplace.
"FIRE! FIRE! EVERYBODY UP! EVERYBODY UP! FIRE!"
"Hear me, badger! Today, your fate has been sealed! This night, a curse has been placed upon your head! You are a marked beast! Ready yourself, and perish!"
At around the same time that Typhoon heard the first voice, he also spotted a red glow against the sky, which confirmed that the marketplace was on fire. The badger recognised the first voice as belonging to Legolas, but the second voice, deep and barbaric, sounded like nothing he had ever heard before in his fifty-eight seasons.
Typhoon knew that whoever had shouted the curses was deliberately trying to goad him into sending himself to his own death. Evidently, they thought he was another bloodthirsty berserker, who would stupidly respond to such a obvious trap. They thought wrong. Having dispatched the sentry to round up anyone else he could and bring them to the edge of the town closest to the fort, the badger was determined not to let the unknown beast have his way until the last.

*The past couple of nights Vinxliyar had been having trouble sleeping. So when the ferret had finally drifted off to sleep tonight it had been a blessing... then a curse when she was woken up naught two hours after drifting off by the sounds of yelling and panic spreading around the horde. The distinct sound of flames licking wood made her immediately roll out of bed and without changing out of her soft nightshirt, she pulled on a pair of pants that were on the floor and snatched her sabre. Before running out of her room to join whatever melee occured, she rubbed her eyes, sighing loudly. Whoever was attacking was certainly interrupting some well-earned sleep.
The ferret pushed open her door and ran down the hall to the stairway, passing by confused beasts who also had been woken up. Growling, she turned around to those who were looking around and conversing with one another.*
Get yer bloody asses moving, ye bunch of lilly-livered idiots! We're under attack, grab yer weapons! Dolts!
*Without waiting for a reply she ran through the doorway and down the stairs, tripping on a few in her rush. When she got outside, she looked for the closest beast and swung her sabre with fury at whomever this attacker was.*

*Legolas had been running along the street pounding on doors and yelling through them, hoping to arouse the town. Her efforts were not in vain, she could hear sounds of beasts moving around in the buildings she had tried to awaken. She had to stop for a moment to catch her breath, but her anger and determination drove her onward again after only a few moments.
The fire was spreading; she could see it when she looked back behind her. If it wasn't stopped soon the whole town would be in ashes. She could also hear the creatures that had destroyed the marketplace moving on through the town, and the roar of the hulking beast she had not been able to make out the identity of.
She paused again for breath, and as she recovered she noticed the door to the building she was standing in front of opening. She just had time to dive out of the way as a figure flashed out of the opening and aimed a blow at her with a wicked looking saber. She rolled to safety and pulled out her own dagger in defense*
